What to expect

Burgdorf Castle becomes a historical Advent market, with costumed interpreters on the castle lawn and demonstrations of blacksmithing, pottery, basket weaving, and candle making. Kids can try spinning wool, baking bread, and even a supervised crossbow. There’s storytelling at noon, 1, 2, and 3 pm and an all-day writing workshop. The old-town Advent market runs at the same time, with around 150 vendors and a free carousel.
