How this site uses cookies

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser, for example to keep you logged in. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work the same way and are covered here too.

Cookies on this site

We don’t set cookies for readers. The only cookies this site uses are the ones WordPress needs when someone logs in to manage the site:

• wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_…, wordpress_test_cookie: keep site administrators logged in. Set only for people who log in, and deleted when they log out or after about two weeks.
• wp-settings-…: remember an administrator’s dashboard preferences. Set only for people who log in, kept for up to a year.

We don’t use analytics, advertising, or social media tracking on this site. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google.

When you leave this site

Links to event organizers, shops, Instagram, and other websites take you to sites with their own cookie policies. Some shop links are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure): if you click one, the shop may set its own cookie to record that you came from Swiss Mom Life. That cookie belongs to the shop, not to us.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking cookies won’t affect reading this site.

Changes to this policy

Our newsletter sign-up form sends your email address straight to our newsletter provider, Kit, and doesn’t set any cookies. If we add something that uses cookies, such as visitor statistics or embedded Instagram posts, we’ll update this page first.
