Winterthur Christmas market and Märliwald

What to expect

The car-free old town fills with stalls, and the Märliwald sets out animated fairy-tale scenes with storytellers. A daily program adds face painting, storytelling, and gingerbread decorating for kids, plus music acts. It’s about five minutes’ walk from Winterthur station, and the Märliwald is free.

Good to know

  • Samichlaus also visits the market on Dec 6.
  • Separate from the Wintermarkt at Teuchelweiherplatz.
