St. Nicholas send-off and gifts at Einsiedeln market
What to expect
In Einsiedeln, St. Nicholas receives a blessing during the 5:30 pm service in the abbey church before heading out at 6:30 pm. He listens to children’s verses and hands out St. Nicholas bags with a golden nut. You can attend the service or catch him afterward around the Christmas market. The area gets busy that evening.
Good to know
- The church is full every year, so arrive early if you want a seat for the service.
