What to expect

The Familienverein Urdorf runs public candle dipping for two weeks in the multipurpose room under the Bahnhofstrasse school gym. There’s beeswax in eight colors, plus snowflake wax, black, and neon to finish, and you can cut or twist a still-warm candle into a fancier shape. It’s recommended from kindergarten age, and kids under 8 need an adult with them. The bistro, run by secondary school students, sells drinks, cakes, and hot dogs. On the two creative evenings, you can also pour candles and add extra decorations.
