What to expect

Winterthur’s Chlauseinzug sets off at the slightly odd time of 16:16 on the first Sunday of Advent. The route runs from the Obertor along the Oberer and Unterer Graben, Marktgasse, Obergasse, and Steinberggasse to the Königshof, with lots of Samichläuse and other festive acts along the way. Mandarins, peanuts, and sweets get handed out generously, so bring a bag.
