What to expect

For the Solothurner Wiehnachtsreis (Solothurn Christmas Journey), Solothurn’s old town becomes Bethlehem, with volunteers acting out the Christmas story in scenes across the historic streets. Expect Roman soldiers, shepherds with sheep, wise men with camels, and the nativity with Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus. Kids follow the story from place to place. It’s been running since 2004 and is free.
