What to expect

Einsiedeln’s Christmas market lines the main street in front of the abbey, which makes a dramatic backdrop for the stalls, lights, and the big Christmas tree. Entry is free, so you can stroll, grab a snack, and look at the decorations at your own pace.

Good to know

  • Public abbey tours run during the market at 14:00 (with a short film) and 15:00, including the Stiftsbibliothek, which is otherwise closed.
