What to expect
Richterswil’s Räbechilbi is one of the biggest turnip-lantern processions in Switzerland, with more than 45 candlelit displays made by local schools and clubs. From 3 pm, kids can watch carved Räben being sold and browse the food stalls, brass bands play from 4, and the procession starts around 6. Strollers and dogs should stay home, so plan for kids who can walk or be carried.
Good to know
- Take the S2 or S8; the procession passes right by the station.
- Badges at on-site stands are cash only, or buy one in advance.
